Mistico Hanging Bridges, Lunch & La Fortuna Waterfall
Canopy bridges and a 200-foot waterfall, no volcano hike
Overview
For travellers who want the two most photogenic stops in Arenal without a lava-flow hike. Mornings are the Mistico hanging bridges - six suspension bridges and a network of trails through primary rainforest, where being at canopy height puts you level with toucans, sloths and nesting birds. Lunch follows, then the descent to the base of the La Fortuna Waterfall for a swim in its pool. The thermal hot river and a volcanic mud mask close the day. The only demanding section is the waterfall stairway.
